WFMW – Tablecloth for the Bed

Wfmwheader

I have family coming for the July 4th week and I wanted to make the guest room look less boring and more inviting without spending the money for a new bedspread!

Before

One afternoon I was looking through my linen closet and a tablecloth my dear sister purchased for me at the Good Will jumped out at me. I thought to myself – too bad this isn’t a bedspread. Then it hit me! Why not! This could work! And lo and behold:

After!

Works for Me! Perky little tablecloth huh?! Now I’m thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas and that just has me way too excited about decorating my guest room for all the seasons!  Oh am I in trouble!

  6. I have vintage tablecloths draped over my couch to protect it from the sun and I change it seasonally. It is addictive!

Jane, I am afraid this is going to change my shopping habits! Vintage – now that’s an idea. Thanks for the hint! The ideas are endless.

  11. This is cute! We’ve done it in the opposite direction, using sheets and light blankets as tablecloths.

Juggling Frogs! (I like that!) My sister did a beautiful quilt beadspread as a tablecloth for my new sister-in-law’s shower! It was truly shabby chic!
