Yesterday we went hiking in Waimea Canyon. If you want to conquer your fear of heights, then this is the hike for you! Waimea Canyon is 4,120 feet above sea level and is called the Grand Canyon of Hawaii. Here’s why:
There are hiking trails for all levels of hikers and you are guaranteed to be rewarded with some awesome sites! We chose the Cliff Trail which included the Canyon Trail, Waipoo Falls and the Black Pipe Trail. It took us about 2½ hours. A great workout! Great picture opportunities!
We are now headed off to our helicopter tour!

Happy Birthday Vera!
My sister Vera was born on February 29th so it is always a special event when we can celebrate on her actual birthday rather than on February 28th. My sister is an amazing woman! She loves Jesus, loves her husband and children and makes every one of her family feel pretty special. She is a great cook and hospitality is her middle name! I love you so very much my sister! See you soon.

Two Photos of the day…
This was waiting for us when we returned back to our room after a wonderful day of exploring waterfalls, hiking and two yummy meals. Our dear friends Dave and Suzy were supposed to be here the same time we were and it is Dave’s birthday tomorrow. We were going to surprise him for his birthday and unfortunately they had to change their plans. They sent us this bottle of wine to say they were bummed they could not be here. Happy Birthday Dave! We miss you guys! Thanks for the bottle of wine it was a wonderful surprise.
