Steve’s brother and his wife (Andrew & Cadan) were blessed with a beautiful baby girl last week. I have to share these great pictures of her with you all. Kaleb is the absolutely adorable big brother to the beautiful Miss Marley!

Andrew & Cadan along with Kaleb and Marley live in California and we happened to be down last weekend. So, here are some more pictures of Marley fresh from the hospital. My mother-in-law and father-in-law were there as well as the two great-grandmothers.

Just to stinking precious! A&C, K-man and Miss Marley – We love you!

This is what happens when you take a picture and don’t realize the flash is on!
A dirty screen revealed!

This was on top of a trash can, in the non-smoking area at the airport.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana. She is the only British royalty that I really appreciated and knew much about. I too woke up in the wee hours of the morning to watch “The Wedding”. Her story seemed so Cinderella-ish to me. I was also shocked when I heard the story about the accident and waited to see if she would survive. Such a sad ending.
While in France on one of our trips to Europe, we decided to do some evening site seeing. As we exited the Metro stop and saw this torch statue we both said, “What is that?” We searched our tour books to see if anything was written about it. As we walked closer, we realized this was the pedestrian walkway over the street where the accident took place. Here are some of the pictures we took. The quality is not real great because I was still in the learning process of taking night pictures!! The last picture is a memorial they have at Harrod’s in London that we saw on the same trip.

So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.

For Show & Tell Friday, I would like to share my father-in-law’s pram from the 1930’s. My mother-in-law took it apart, cleaned it up and put it all back together again. She has some great antiques with lots of family history. She has a knack for restoring items and I will have to get more pictures of some of her pieces.
Yes, that is a picture of Dr. G as a little guy! (Too Cute!) The pram was first used for his older sister and then for Dr. G. I love that they still have it and boy is it in great condition!

I wanted to participate today in Thankful Thursday to honor my mother and father. I am so thankful for the joy and love they displayed in our home growing up. I had the privilege of being brought up in a Christian home with parents who loved the Lord and wanted their children, grandchildren and generations forward to do the same.
It was not an easy road for my parents. There were plenty of bumps and hazards along the way, yet they trusted and continue to trust the Lord of their highway. They are in their mid eighties and are still serving and obeying the Lord with every breath they take. I know when they reach the end of the road, Jesus will welcome them saying, “Well done, my good and faithful servants.”
I want to be just like them…
