Was ironing some of my linens on Sunday and noticed that a pillow sham was yellowing in a strange way.   The applique and embroidery portion of the fabric was still in good shape, but the rest of the pillow sham was ready for the rag pile.  I was torn: To save or not to save? – That was the question.  The answer: Both!  Here’s what I did:

Turned this:

 

Into this:

I carefully cut this off the pillow sham and then hand stitched it onto the kitchen towel. 

Isn’t it pretty! Salvaged the best part of the pillow sham and now have a classy kitchen towel!

 Works for Me!
