For Show and Tell Friday this week, I would like to share a beautiful gift I received from a friend who visited Mexico – A marble domino set.  Its definitely one you want to play on a padded surface!

A name game to lighten up and cool off the summer heat and humidity:

Elle over at A Complete Thought is real CURIOUS and has tagged me for this meme: 

 WHAT’S IN A NAME?

1. You have to post these rules before you give the facts.

2. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

3. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.

4. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

My middle name is Moisievna (Moisi for short).  Moisi is my father’s name and in the Russian culture you usually do not have a middle name, you take a feminized version of your father’s name.  Since most Russian families are rather large and you end up having several relatives with the same last name, your middle name identifies which family you were born into!   Another piece of trivia for you is that my full first name is Cvetlana (think Russian gymnist or ice skater – I’m neither 😉 ) but I just go by Lana. 

So, with all of that,  I am going to use the shortened version of my middle name, Moisi, for this meme!  Here are the facts.

M – Mobile.  I am a travel nut thanks to my husband!  I love to travel and my favorite modes of travel are plane, train and automobile. Boats are fine if they are in really, really, really calm water!  I like riding bikes and walking on the beach.  Rollerskating is fun and I have ridden a skateboard as well.

O – Optimistic.  I am an optimistic person.  I like to see the bright side of every situation. 

I –  Into Jesus.  I believe Jesus is the Son of God and that he died for my sins, that he rose from the dead and is alive. Jesus is why I am an optimistic person and mobile for that matter!

S – Silly.  I love being silly.   It keeps me Sane.  I can be Serious as well, but Silly fits.

I –  Inquisitive.  I like to figure things out, solve problems or just get to the bottom of things.  That’s why I like Sudoku, mystery novels, solitaire, jigsaw puzzles – oh all puzzles in general!

Okay, that was a little tough with my letter choices!  And now, I will quote Elle:  “So please take my tag as insatiable curiosity to know your middle name. Entertainment is light these days.” 

I will tag, my sister Ellen because she has to make up a middle name (hee hee!), Bridget (so easy for you) and Kristin because she has been on vacation and needs a fun meme to get back in the blogisphere.
