Woman to Woman is hosting a book report today. You are to choose any book that falls into the category of either Fiction or Mystery and write a report to share it. So read, report and recommend a book that you have read within the past 3 months.
I just finishded The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart:
This story is about an 11-year old orphan Reynie Muldoon who responds to an advertisement recruiting “gifted children looking for special opportunities.” Reynie is one of four children who are recruited and trained by Mr. Benedict to travel to an isolated school where children are being trained by an evil man who wants to rule the world. These children must work together and use what they learned, their talents and abilities to thwart the evil man’s plans.
The story is for children 10 and older. I enjoyed it and I am way older than that! It is well written and the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. I would highly recommend this book. Great ending!

How cute!! I love books like this! It reminds me of one that I LOVED when I was young called “Jacob two two” I have a 7 year old so maybe I will wait a couple of years till we get to this one. 🙂
I love reading books meant for younger audiences; they are surprisingly complex, and are so entertaining. I will have to check it out!
I bet my son would love this book! Thanks, I’ve been needing more “read aloud” books! I’m so glad you decided to review a children’s book!
Interesting! I’d love to check it out! 🙂
Oh I think I’ll read this one soon…
I’ll have to tell my daughter about this one, but sounds like I too would enjoy it.
Sounds like a book that is great fun to read!
Your review is a great one. Now you have me wanting to rush right out and pick it up. It sounds like a fun and exciting book that would be an easy read.
Thanks for your review and have a wonderful week filled with love and laughter!
