Holy God by Brian Doerksen

Holy, holy, holy God
Creating, commanding
Transcendent Adonai
Defending love, destroying sin
The warrior divine

(chorus)

Forgiving, redeeming
From every tribe and tongue
Arising first, the nail-scarred Lamb
Salvation’s champion

(chorus)

Romancing, pursuing
Reclaiming to restore
Releasing hearts, transforming lives
The lion’s mighty roar

  1. What a worshipful song. I enjoyed it very much especially being reminded that He is “releasing hearts and transforming lives.”

  2. I’m so glad that he romances and pursues us. Many peoople don’t consider this aspect of our relationship with Him. I am doing an Angela Thomas study right now and she always asks… “Are you ready to dance the dance of your life in His arms?”

  3. Oh my, I wanted to get on my knees half way through that song!!! Yes, he is a HOLY GOD!! I’m so honored he wants to romance, pursue, and reclaim my life! Gives me chills!!

Blessings to you for sharing this song♥

  4. Beautiful, worshipful.
I’ve never heard this one before. Very cool…

  5. Beautiful!
    Blessings,
    Angela

  6. I believe so deeply that we don’t really grasp the definition of holiness. Without Christ, there is none. And our ability to see and understand is so tainted by our sin. How great to know that He wants us still!

    Thanks for sharing!

  7. Such a great reminder that the Lord loves and forgives us no matter what.

  8. Such a beautiful and worshipful song.

  9. How beautiful! I had never heard this one before! How awesome to remember that the Most Holy One loves us enough to pursue us!
Thank you so much for sharing it!
    Blessings~

  11. Oh, my goodness gracious! I am a friend of Amy’s from Signs, Miracles, and Wonders. I just dropped by to see your song. First of all, I love that song. How beautiful! Goodness! Second, you are such a talented photographer. Wow! I really enjoyed looking around at your photos. Gracious! Thanks for a heaping helping of Jesus when I dropped by.
