What is it about me and bees? On Thursday I was working in my office in California and heard what sounded like rain on my window. I knew it was not raining because the Santa Ana winds were blowing and it was 80 degrees outside! I looked out the window and there were hundreds if not thousands of bees flying full speed at our windows. Here’s what our offiice building looks like:

As you can see, it is one of those mirror like buildings. We are not sure if they thought they were attacking what they thought were other bees coming at them or what. It was bizarre and lasted a good half hour. These poor bees were tired and a little stunned to say the least after smacking up against our windows!
After the smacking came a time of rest. Guess where they decided to rest! You guessed it – MY WINDOW! Again I ask, what is it about me and bees?! Here they are resting…

Because of all my BEE Experiences, my co-workers are now calling me the Bee Whisperer! Oh bother!

It was pretty chilly in Washington this weekend. We had snow on Saturday evening into Sunday and it was quite pretty but it also made me start anticipating Spring! So, I decided to decorate a Spring Tea Table. The pink plates are my latest find at the Goodwill as well as one of the tea pots. Most of the items on this table are from Goodwill.
I did find a new little shop this weekend called the Rose Tree Cottage. I found some great silks there and the nest and most of the flowers on the napkins are from this shop. The chair covers are of course pillow cases! Oh so much cheaper than the real chair covers! My centerpiece is also a Goodwill find. I thought it was a unique arrangement and is a fun addition to my Anticipation of Spring Garden Tea!
Do come again soon! I know Susan is expecting a visit so head on over to her blog to see more tablescapes!

Happy Blue Monday! Check out my recent Goodwill finds…

I liked the simple design of the plates and the teapot is a Sadler England teapot. I really like the delicate flowers on the teapot. You know the drill – head on over to Sally’s for more Blue Monday posts!

It’s Monday and time for another Metamorphosis Monday. Today I am going to show you my no cost Guest Room makeover. Here’s the Before shot…

Nothing like accentuating your white walls! I do plan on painting this summer but until then I really needed to perk up this drab room! So, here’s the After…

I used a sheet I had picked up at the Goodwill as a new bed spread and covered the head board with a curtain sheer. I had the pillow shams from a previous purchase. The decorative pillow I had in another room. I moved some pictures from other rooms in the house and then used the rose vine to accentuate the picture – not my drab walls!
This little makeover took an hour to do and I used items I already had to do it. My guest room went from drab to not so drab. I am really looking forward to painting this summer! For more Met Monday posts, head on over to Susan’s!
