Wow, what a gorgeous weekend here in the Northwest! As I type this, it is snowing – hard. We have had 8 inches of snow so far. Here are the highlights of the weekend…

The picture of the cat who likes to hang out at our house was taken Saturday morning before the real storm hit in the evening. All the other photos were taken on Sunday morning.
We also enjoyed our annual holiday get together with the neighbors. We were supposed to go out for dinner but we ended up hanging out around home because of the snow storm. We had a progressive dinner and enjoyed it so much we decided we should do this every year!

I am supposed to fly back down to California tomorrow morning – OH MY – that will be interesting!! 🙂

It’s that time of the year again. Welcome to the 2008 Tour of Homes hosted by BooMama. I am just tickled that we received our first snowfall of the year on Saturday, just in time for the tour! So come on in, we’ve been waiting for you…

Now don’t be scared of Grey the squirrel, he just loves the peanuts and seeds we feed him and his little friends.
Come on in to where it’s nice and warm. I’m Lana G! and I will be your hostess today.

First of all let’s get you warmed up by the fire…
Now come on over to the dining room …

Choose a plate and let’s get some dessert! What beverage can I serve you today on this cold wintery day?

Before you leave, may I show you the true meaning of Christmas…

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TODAY!

Today I would like to share my moss green and burgundy tablescape with you. If you have colors in your home that do not match the traditional Christmas red and green, don’t be afraid to incorporate your own color scheme for Christmas.

The only “Christmas” items on this table are the centerpiece, the ribbon and ornaments. You can make almost any place setting “Christmas-y” by adding Christmas items to your decor. Michaels is a great place to help you do this! The flowers in my centerpiece and around the centerpiece are from Michaels. They always have great sales and you really do not need much to give your table a Christmas up do! Also, don’t be afraid to take the flowers off the stems. You can expand your decorating possibilities by doing so!

So many possibilities, so much fun! Add some ornaments and candles and tada – a Christmas table in your own color scheme!

This week I would like to share my Christmas Inspiration table. Here is the inspiration – my Spode Christmas plate…

Here’s how the inspiration piece came to life in a tablescape…

The message of this tablescape as told by the napkins…

The napkins/guest towels, Christmas tree and several of the ornaments were purchased at Molbak’s. The red plates, stemware and table runner were purchased at Sur La Table, the white tablecloth was purchased at Goodwill. The two white plates were a wedding gift and the Spode Christmas plates were purchased on clearance at Mervyns when there were still Mervyn stores open!
Happy December and Happy Tablescaping. I love this time of the year! For more Tablescapes, head on over to Between Naps on the Porch!
