This week’s Fun Monday is easy, Mariposa is hosting and asking TWO things

(1) Please share with us how the NAME of your BLOG was made? I can’t wait to hear interesting funny stories!

This is an easy one for me.  I am on a plane usually two days a week, so I wanted a name that had something to do with air travel.  So, the name I came up with was Above the Clouds – Lofty thoughts from a frequent flyer. 

I love taking pictures when I am on the plane. The view is never the same.  When I am the plane, I am able to wind down and it is a place for me to get my creativity going again. It is also a place for me to spend some time reading and praying. 

(2) Please share with us (in words or photo, though a combination of both will be a bonus!) your favorite/ most common dish!

My favorite salad!  Tomatoes, cucumbers and onions with lemon and salt.  YUMMY!

Fun Monday this week is being hosted by SayreSmiles Here is our assignment…

Every day as I go to work, I see things around me that make me laugh. Usually these are in the forms of signs. So take your camera with you as you go about your business and take a picture of the things that make you laugh along the way (but it doesn’t necessarily HAVE to be a sign).

What makes me laugh is this:

What’s so funny about this picture?  Before I started blogging, I would have never attempted taking a picture of a sunset in my car while doing 65 miles an hour on the highway!  Skills people, I got me some skills!

At least I’m not texting or on my cell phone at the same time! Never was really good at texting anyway.

Fun Monday is being hosted by Tiggerlane, the Neophyte , and here is our Fun Monday Assignment she would like us to tackle:

Have you heard of The Bucket List? Well, that’s what I want from you! Make a list of things you want to do before you die (kick the bucket). It must be at least five items – and you can make it as long as you desire. Photos are optional. And let’s hear about some of the wackiest, most bizarre to-do’s on your Bucket List!

1. Have a huge potluck with our family and tell them all how much I love them.
2. Rent out Disneyland for a day for just my family and friends and spend the night in the castle.
3. Have a romantic dinner with my husband at the most expensive restaurant in the world, then we would: 
4. Travel to New Zealand
5. Travel to Israel
6. Travel to all the Greek Islands and anywhere else that sounds interesting.  Then we would:
7. Go to the World Series Games and sit in the best seats in the house.
8. Go to the Masters Golf Tournament on a Sunday to watch Tiger Woods play all 18 holes.  My husband would be Tiger’s caddy and I would be a photographer with a press pass.
9. Go to the Winter Olympics and the Summer Olympics and watch Ice Skating and Gymnastics.  I would be a judge!
10. Run and skip on a tropical beach. Then we would come home and I would:
11. Have the biggest garden with all the flowers imaginable growing at our house and we would
12. Live in a place where we can watch sunrises and sunsets till we die. If this place had a secluded beach, even better!

Continuing in the spirit of “being interested in people”, I would like to know, or see, what’s on, in or under your bedside table! So open those draws and bare your soul to us! Is there anything special there that has a story or a memory that you can tell us about? Books that you keep there to delve into from time to time? Trinkets that you don’t know where else to put? Let’s see!

Since I am down in California for this Fun Monday, I will show you my Huntington Beach nightstand:

I love to read so my nightstand is basically a place for books and my Bible!  Of course I also enjoy listening to classical music when I read or just to relax before I go to bed so I have my Ipod plugged in and ready to play. That’s the little remote to turn on the player. 

I also have hand lotion and foot lotion on the bottom shelf.  I get really dry skin especially in the winter. There’s some chapstick hanging around on one of the shelves as well.  Oh yeah and plenty of pens, pencils a nail file or two and highlighters. Lastly, the blasted alarm clock, which is on the bottom shelf so I really have to reach to turn it off – basically throwing me out of bed!
