This week I will be praying for my husband’s Priorities – again this is from Stormie Omartian’s book The Power of a Praying Wife…
God, I proclaim You Lord over my life. Help me to seek You first every day and set my priorities in perfect order. Reveal to me how to properly put my Husband before work, family, friends, activities, and interests. Show me what I can do right now to demonstrate to him that he has this position in my heart. Mend the times I have caused him to doubt that. Tell me how to prioritize everything so that whatever steals life away, or has no lasting purpose, will not occupy my time.
I pray for my husband’s priorities to be in perfect order as well. Be Lord and Ruler over his heart. Help him to choose simplicity of life that will allow him to have time alone with You, Lord, a place to be quiet in Your presence every day. Speak to him about making Your Word, prayer and praise a priority. Enable him to place me and our home in greater prominence in his heart than career, friends and activities. I pray he will seek You first and submit his all to You, for when he does, I know the other pieces of his life will fit together perfectly.
Amen.

This week I will be praying for my husband’s Choices – this is from Stormie Omartian’s book The Power of a Praying Wife…
Lord, fill my husband with the fear of the Lord and give him wisdom for every decision he makes. May he reverance You and Your ways and seek to know your truth. Give him discermment to make decisions based on Your revelation. Help him to make godly choices and keep him from doing anything foolish. Take foolishness out of his heart and enable him to quickly recognize error and avoid it. Open his eyes to clearly see the consequences of any anticipated behavior.
I pray that he will listen to godly counselors and not be a man who is unteachable. Give him strength to reject the counsel of the ungodly and hear Your counsel above all others. I declare that although “there are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel-will stand” (Proverbs 19:21). Instruct him even as he is sleeping (Psalm 16:7), and in the morning, I pray he will do what’s right rather than follow the leading of his own flesh. I know the wisdom of this world is foolishness Lord (1 Corinthians 3:19). May he not buy into it, but keep his eyes on You and ears to hear Your voice.
Amen.

His Faith
This week I am praying the prayer from the book
The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian
Lord, I pray that you will give my husband an added measure of faith today. Enlarge his ability to believe in you, your word, your promises, your ways and your power. Put a longing in his heart to talk with you and hear your voice. Give him an understanding of what it means to bask in your presence and not just ask for things. May he seek you, rely totally upon you, be led by you, put you first and acknowledge you in everything he does.
Lord, you’ve said that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Feed his soul with your word so his farith grows big enough to believe that with you all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Give him unfailing certainty that what you’ve promised to do, you will do (Romans 4:21). Make his faith a shield of protection. Put it into action to move the mountains in his life. Your word says, “the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17); I pray that he will live the kind of faith-filled life you’ve called us all to experience. May he know with complete certainty “how great is your goodness, which you have laid up fo those who fear you, which you have prepared for those who trust in you” (Psalm 31:19).
Lord I pray the above for myself as well. I pray that my faith in you would shine forth and that my husband would be encouraged and have the desire to seek your word and to build his faith stronger everyday. In your heavenly name I pray, Amen.

This week’s prayer will focus on my husband’s mind.
Lord, I pray that you would put a hedge of protection around my husband’s mind. I pray that you would give him discernment so that he will clearly hear your voice and not listen to the lies of satan. Lord, I pray that he would take captive every thought and make it obedient to you, Jesus.
Lord, I pray that my husband would love you with all his heart, soul, mind and strength and that he would hunger and thirst after your truth so that he would be able to discern wrong thinking and resist the lies and deception of the enemy. Lord, I pray that his mind would be controlled by the Spirit so that he would have life and peace. Give him a sound mind so that he will not harbor any confusing thoughts, nor be tempted with impure, evil, negative or sinful thoughts, but be transformed by the renewing of his mind.
Lord, may my husband be strong in you and in the power of your might. Help him to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let his requests be made known to you; and may your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Lord, I also pray that he would think on these things: whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, having virtue, or anything praiseworthy.
Lord, the same prayer above for my husband applies to me as well. Lord, I pray that I would not be negative and that I would be able to speak the truth in love. Lord, I pray that what I share with my husband is encouraging and uplifting. Continue to work in our lives so that we would glorify you in all we do.
Amen.

It’s Monday morning and this week’s prayer for my husband is going to focus on his work…
Father God, I pray for my husband’s work. I pray that you would bless what he does. May he be a man of integrity and respected by his co-workers. Give him strength, faith and courage to do his job and to do it well for your glory and honor. May he call on your name and strive to please you in all he does.
Give him confidence in his abilities so that he can anticipate problems and find solutions quickly. May he be an asset to his company and not a liability. Bless the company he works for and may they continue to succeed honestly and without any cause for disgrace. Show him opportunities that will develop his skills and encourage him to grow.
May he be disciplined in following your lead and following in the path that you have set out for him. If this means a different career path, may you open those doors for him that no man can shut.
May our home be one that is welcoming to him after a long day of work. May he feel refreshed and comfortable when he is at home. Show me how I can encourage and support him so that he can have full confidence in me. Lord may I bring him good and not harm all the days of my life (Proverbs 31:11-12)
Lord, I am asking You to fill him with the knowledge of Your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that he may live a life worthy of you and please you in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of You, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that he may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully give you thanks for all you have provided. (Colossians 1:9-12)
You have blessed us Lord, help us to be good stewards of those blessings in your holy name I pray,
Amen!
