Landing in Santa Ana Winds 5 comments
My sister did a post on Santa Ana Winds earlier this week and one of the lines of the explanation for Santa Ana Winds read…They are often the source of air turbulence for aircraft. So, I thought I would show you what it is like to Land in Santa Ana winds! Put your seat belts on. This is from my flight on Monday morning.

Airplane Randomness 4 comments
As you all know, I spend a great deal of time on airplanes. I also spend a great deal of time with my camera. So, when you combine the two – airplanes and cameras – you can have quite a bit of fun or randomness.
Here’s how I amuse myself…
Sudoku is my ritual when I first board the airplane. If there is something humorous or interesting on the plane, I will definitely take a picture of it. For instance, I loved the way my apricot snack looked in the sun. I cracked up at the “glass” of wine I was served (I couldn’t finish it!) I was enthralled by the prism the glass produced!
So, what’s so interesting outside the window of a plane? Isn’t the view basically the same?
Oh my friends, it is always awe inspiring looking out the window of an airplane…
Whether it be sunrise or sunset, there’s always clouds, clouds and more clouds!
Sometimes there’s smoke
There’s also the plane itself as well!
So you see – from California to Washington there’s never a dull moment on the airplane and the views are ever changing!
Every view is a constant reminder of how awesome our God is and creation shouts his praise!
Window Seat 6 comments
Monday morning I flew back down to California to start the work week. Here is why I enjoy the window seat so much…
It had just started to rain as I boarded the airplane in Seattle. I love this shot of the sunrise through the raindrops on the window.
Oh boy just look at what all that humidity did to the sunrise and we haven’t even left the ground yet!
The white cloud rising above the dark overcast sky made me think of so many verses that I could use for this photo!
The one thing you must always remember when you are seated in the window seat is to look up. Do not just look straight out the window. Get your nose to that window and look in all directions. I would have missed this “Moonday” shot if I did not look up!
Here’s one of the songs I was listening to on my iPod as I was taking these shots…
Beautiful – Gateway Worship
Here, before your altar I am letting go of all I’ve held
Of every motive, every burden, everything that’s of myself
And I just want to wait on you my God,
I just want to dwell on who you are.
Beautiful, Beautiful, O I am lost for more to say.
Beautiful, Beautiful, O, Lord, you’re beautiful to me.
Here, in your presence I am not afraid of brokenness
To wash your feet with humble tears
O, I would be poured out, ‘til nothing’s left
And I just want to wait on you my God,
I just want to dwell on who You are.
Beautiful, Beautiful, O I am lost for more to say.
Beautiful, Beautiful, O, Lord, you’re beautiful to me.
Holy, Holy, Holy you are, you are!
Holy, Holy, Holy you are, you are!
Holy, Holy, Holy you are, you are!
Holy, Holy, Holy you are, you are!
Beautiful, Beautiful, O I am lost for more to say.
Beautiful, Beautiful, O, Lord, you’re beautiful to me.
And I just want to wait on you my God;
I just want to dwell on who You are!
That about sums it up doesn’t it?! Find time today to dwell on our Holy, Beautiful Lord!
